WHAT CAN WE DO?
The Nether Pollok Envrionment Trust has been set up by local people to begin planning for community ownership, or a long lease on the land. This is about safeguarding the land for public use. We will seek to raise funds to conserve and enhance the natural habitat.
We will also seek to raise funds to develop community based recreation facilities on part of the site
Just one example of a community run sports grounds is the nearby Langside Sports Club (see photo). But there are other models we can work on
