WHAT CAN WE DO?
The Nether Pollok Envrionment Trust is a registered charity (no SC055350) and has been set up by local people to begin planning for the future of Nether Pollok. This could be by persuaing the Council to continue the lease, or to transfer to community ownership, or a long lease on the land fron Pollok and Corrour. This is about safeguarding the land for public use. We will seek to raise funds to conserve and enhance the natural habitat.
We will also seek to raise funds to develop community based recreation facilities on part of the site .
To start with we will carry out a survey of the site, seek the views of the public and prepare options for the future
